Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use QstarTV to manage guest TVs at your property.
$4.50 per TV / month · no contract · 14-day trial
Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you, the property owner registering for a QstarTV account, and Quadrastar (Pty) Ltd, trading as QstarTV ("we", "us"), a South African business. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
The service
QstarTV provides a guest TV home-screen launcher and cloud management dashboard for Android TV and Google TV boxes. Guests cast content from their own phones using their own streaming accounts and subscriptions.
No content bundling
QstarTV does not bundle, resell, license or redistribute any broadcast or streaming content, under any circumstances. We do not provide IPTV, channel packages, or access to any subscription service. Every stream your guests watch runs on their own account, on their own device, under their own subscription terms. You remain solely responsible for any content you or your staff choose to sign into a TV directly, and for complying with the terms of any streaming service you use.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when registering, and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account, including actions taken by any staff you invite. You must be legally entitled to operate the property or properties you register.
Pricing and payment
QstarTV is billed pay-as-you-go, per TV enrolled, once a month — there is no fixed-term contract. Pricing is shown in your account based on your region and may change from time to time, with notice given in your account before it takes effect. Payments are processed by PayFast, our payment provider. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable except where required by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use QstarTV to distribute unlawful content, to circumvent the security of the service, or to resell access to the service without our written agreement.
Service availability
We aim to keep QstarTV available at all times, but the service depends on your own internet connection, your TV hardware, and third-party infrastructure we do not control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we are not responsible for the streaming apps or subscriptions your guests choose to use.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, QstarTV is provided on an "as is" basis and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including lost bookings or guest disputes. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited under South African law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using QstarTV at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or remains unpaid. Where reasonably possible we will give notice before suspending an account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of QstarTV after a change means you accept the updated terms.
